Sherlock Holmes 2 : A Game of Shadows | Spill.com Movie Reviews

I have to disagree with the reviewers on this one. While A GAME OF SHADOWS is (obviously) not as original and dynamic as the first Sherlock Holmes film, I thought this was a worthy sequel that still had great chemistry between Robert Downey and Jude Law, Stephan Fry cast wonderfully as Mycroft Holmes (who they don’t even mention), and I found Jared Harris, if not the greatest Prof. Moriarty ever, very menacing and quite effective. The script is a bit heavy on humor and action, but this is in no way a film that you should wait to rent on DVD or Blu-ray. ~Tim

I don’t know if this is a real film that is being released, or where you can find it, but I, for one, want to see it (and I am not even familiar with the movie horror host!).

I was actually looking forward to this movie. The Lone Ranger has always been a favorite of mine, and I was interested to see if they could make a version of this character today that would be interesting while still staying true to the character’s roots (Tonto alone in our modern PC world would have been a major area for them to go overboard with hyper-sensitivity that would have ruined the film, but I was keeping an open mind and my fingers crossed); but…

TWO-HUNDRED AND FITY MILLION DOLLARS FOR A LONE RANGER MOVIE?!?

Are they freakin’ insane?

Disney did the right thing by pulling the plug on this film. It is sad to think that they can’t make a great western today without a name star and a ridiculously high budget.
